Thanksgiving Blessings (cont.)

The second half of our Thanksgiving holiday was spent with my side of the family at my parents' house in Indianola. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday growing up. We usually spent it at our house or at the Lairds. Every year we would have a special time of thanksgiving and praise God for what He had done in our lives over the past year. We would spend time singing too. I love music a lot, and it was awesome to share in that with my family.

It has been a few years since we have been able to "Do Thanksgiving" as we call it with the Lairds. Most of the cousins are 'all grown up', some have moved away, married, had children, etc. But this year a few of the Lairds were able to come to my parents' home, and Grandma Richardson & Grandma Johnson were both there. Stephen & Ashley-Nicole brought their son, Jeshuah, whom we hadn't met before. It wasn't the same since a few were missing, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I am so grateful for an immediate and extended family that loves the Lord and lives for His glory. Thanks to Mom & Dad for hosting and for all of the work they did to feed us. And thanks to Grandpa & Grandma Richardson who are now reaping what they faithfully sowed - a family that loves God and lives for Him.

Great post :)

So many fun memories of our past! It would be a BLAST to get most/all (but that would never happen) together-- that would be fantastic!

Grandma and Grandpa did a wonderful job and I also think a lot of such a legacy that they have!
