Easter Week

Luke 24:5
"Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!"

Easter is almost here - woohoo! We are doing a few extra things around the Noll house this week to celebrate Christ's death, burial and resurrection. Last night we baked some cookies to give to our neighbors. We included cards with the plates and invited them to our Easter breakfast and service on Sunday.
Here is my little chef - quite the assistant. We didn't get a picture of Kyle or Camden. Kyle was taking these pictures while trying to keep Camden occupied. He would have loved to chew on a few of these cookies.
Kendrick couldn't wait for the cookies to come out of the oven. I think that adding the sprinkles was his favorite part. My favorite part is hearing his answer when I ask Him why we celebrate Easter.

"Jesus is alive!" He yells excitedly, at the top of his 2-year-old lungs.

Yes, yes He is. This is the reason we celebrate Easter. Bunnies and eggs are all good, but this is not what Easter is about. Jesus died, was buried, and on the third day He rose again. Because of this we have a reason to live. We have hope. We can have victory over sin and assurance of eternity with Him. I can think of no better reason to celebrate.

Sweet posts Christie!
-Sunday at home after church Austin asked "What is Easter?" It was a neat moment to be able to explain exactly what it was and that that's the most important thing about Easter; not eggs, etc..!
